Mario Gualano
Group Chief Executive Officer
Mario Gualano
With more than 25 of years international experience in the diagnostics industry, Mario has a wealth of commercial, technical and operational expertise.
He spent twenty years with Thermo-Fisher Scientific in various operational and commercial roles, most recently as a Division President responsible for 14 manufacturing sites and 30 commercial offices globally.
He has a PhD in Microbiology and Immunodiagnostics and an MBA.
Damian Evans

Damian Evans
Damian is an experienced Quality Director with a career spanning 10 years in pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices.
Prior to joining BBI Damian held various Global Leadership roles in GE Healthcare; latterly heading QARA for the Cell Therapy, Healthcare IT platforms and Consumables divisions.
He is a Chemistry Graduate and Six Sigma black belt with experience in major acquisitions and integrations.

Mathew Hobbs
Having joined BBI in 2019, Mat brings over 20 years’ experience in UK & international finance, commercial and change management roles across both large-scale organisations and SME’s, including KPMG and Mitie.
Mat’s previous roles have seen him lead and deliver significant business change, including in M&A, business re-structuring, process improvement and cost management, outsourcing and systems implementations, as well as leading large cross functional teams.
