Streptavidin 40nm Gold Conjugate
BA.STP40 is part of BBI's Anti-Biotin Gold Conjugate family which include Anti-biotin antibodies or Streptavidin conjugated to BBI gold nanoparticles for use in the detection of biotinylated markers.
Streptavidin used to produce BA.STP20 and BA.STP40 is a 55kDa bacterial protein isolated from Streptomyces avidinii. Each molecule of Streptavidin theoretically possesses four identical subunits containing a biotin-binding site which are co-operative in nature.
Suitable for use in lateral flow devices, the streptavadin is passively coupled to citrate capped gold nanoparticles and blocked with bovine serum albumin (BSA).
The conjugate is suspended in a low molarity buffer 2mM sodium phosphate pH7.2 containing 0.095% Sodium Azide as preservative. This buffer will maintain the activity of the streptavadin attached to the surface of the gold colloid, without causing particle aggregation, and can easily be substituted for a customers buffer of choice for their assay.
This product can be purchased online in 5ml volumes at OD10. For larger volumes, please discuss your requirements with our sales team.
Customised concentrations of conjugates to an OD other than OD10 are also available by request.
